Coleman was born and raised in the town of Blackpool, Lancashire. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A grades in her A Levels. Coleman regrets not having have a typical schooling when talking about the Emmerdale experiences. Coleman was part of a group named In Yer Space at her school. The company was in the stage production Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. She won an award for her performance, and the production was also well-received. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. The British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was nominated as the as the most popular newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role of Matt Smith. Moffat decided to choose her for the role since she seemed to have the best chemistry with Smith. She also spoke more quickly than he does. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the industry of entertainment since 1987. She has however had a greater presence on television rather than in movies. Eva is best known for her roles in the role of the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The actress was nominated the two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part as well as having the an opportunity to explore the musical side of her. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. Three times married, she has a daughter with her second husband.
